My Approach to Therapy and How it Differs
Many therapy approaches focus primarily on learning coping skills to manage symptoms.
While coping skills can be helpful, my work focuses on something deeper: understanding why you do what you do.
Our thoughts, behaviors, and emotional reactions all have meaning. Often, they are connected to underlying needs that may or may not be getting met.
When we begin to understand those needs, things start to make more sense.
Together, we explore:
- The patterns that show up in your thoughts and relationships
- The emotions underneath your reactions
- The needs that may be driving those feelings
- Healthier ways to communicate and meet those needs
My goal is to help you move from feeling confused and overwhelmed to feeling clear, empowered, and more connected to yourself and the people in your life.

- Stuck in cycles of anxiety or overthinking
- Unsure why they react the way they do emotionally
- Struggling with communication in relationships
- Feeling disconnected from themselves or their partner

Therapy can help you slow down, make sense of your experiences, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
