You're Not the Problem. But You Might Be the Key.
Individual therapy in Woodland Hills - and virtually throughout California - is a space to slow down and actually understand what is happening inside you.
You may have been told, directly or indirectly, that you are the common theme in your relationships. That one stings. And the frustrating part is that it might even feel a little bit true - even though you are doing your best.
Here is the thing: understanding that you are a pattern in your own story is not a reason to blame yourself. It is an invitation. Because if you are in the pattern, you also have the power to change it.
That is what individual therapy is for.
My Approach to Individual Therapy
Most therapists focus on what to stop doing and give you tools to get there. I focus on the why. Why do you do what you do? What need is behind that behavior? What is your anxiety, your shutdown, your people-pleasing actually trying to protect?
Once you understand the intention behind the behavior, you can start finding healthier, more effective ways to meet the same need. That is when real change happens.

What This Looks Like in Practice
Here is an example. You are anxious - that makes sense. But if every feeling is connected to a need, the real question is: what need is going unmet?
Maybe you need safety. Maybe you need creative outlet. Maybe you need to be on a mountaintop, not just an hour of quiet. If you are not meeting the actual need, the anxiety does not go anywhere - no matter how many coping skills you collect.
Understanding that distinction changes everything.
Who I Work With
I work primarily with adults navigating anxiety and overthinking, self-esteem and shame, complex trauma and PTSD, and major life transitions. If you are in Woodland Hills or anywhere in California and struggling with depression, grief, or relationship patterns you cannot seem to break - this work is for you.
You might be a good fit if:
- You are tired of going in circles and actually want to understand why
- You are open to being gently challenged, not just validated
- You have tried to figure this out on your own and hit a wall
- You want something to actually shift, not just feel managed
I do not work with children, but I am happy to provide a referral to a specialist if that is what you are looking for.
Getting Started With Therapy
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you have been feeling stuck for a long time.
If you are ready to better understand yourself and create healthier patterns in your life and relationships, therapy can help.
I offer therapy in two ways:
In-person therapy at my Woodland Hills office for adults in the Los Angeles area.
Virtual therapy for adults anywhere in California, allowing you to receive support from the comfort of your home.
Schedule a consultation to see if working together feels like the right fit.
“The therapy has been helping me see the root cause of my issues and concerns. For example, I'm not able to find a partner and build strong relationships with someone. We're working on my relationship with myself and how I see myself, my life and my goals. And that has been helping me change perspective.”
